10th Work : Resin Art - Hexagon Coasters ☕

Hi.. I'm Dr.Poxy.

This time I am going to make a hexagon coaster.

Initially, I was working on creating two coasters.

However, the flower-based coaster was not finished because there was a mistake during the work.

So, one coaster was put in the bonus cut.

The difficulty of work is normal.

Difficulty	⭐⭐⭐
Working Days	2 Days

There was nothing particularly difficult when working.

If so, there may be mold setting and precise sanding.

So let’s look at the work processing.

I am going to work with a cut of the wood, so I need to cut it appropriately.

Make a groove on the top and make a mold with acrylic.

When making a mold, make sure that there are no gaps so that the resin does not flow.

Note, do not use instant glue between wood and acrylic.

Instant glue can damage wood when removing acrylic.

Even though I know it, I often forget it.

If you use woodworking glue, it can be easily removed with a heat gun when removing acrylic.

Resin spilled through the gap..

Oh my god!!! a lot has spilled..

Always be careful when making molds.

Hexagons before sanding...

And, I did sanding.

What happened to the hexagon on the right??

It will be pretty until the resin is poured.

After the resin was poured, the petals of that part came up.

So, I decided to make a large circle in the middle.

But it wasn't in the exact middle.

So I didn't do the finish sanding and polishing.

There are still many regrets.

Let’s look at what to prepare..

- Resin & hardener

- Hexagon wood (or other shape wood)

- Pigment (Blue with pearl)

- Woodworking knife
